If you thought selling a house was hard… think again. I live out of the country and was renting my townhouse out to a nice couple who decided to move to Europe. Enter Gwen who told me the market was hot in my neighborhood: Emeryville/Oakland.
Told him I was really concerned about timing because I had to close immediately after my tenants moved out. He said that wouldn’t be a problem.
My tenants moved out on October 15. We closed escrow on Nov 6. Money in my bank a week later.
I was in another country, but he made it amazingly easy for me. From getting the title papers signed to advising me about my last utility bills and even getting the place cleaned & ready for the next owners. I didn’t have to fly in or make long distance calls. Everything was done over email and Skype.
Best thing I like about Gwen is he keeps his promises and goes that extra step to make sure selling your house is as easy as possible. I still can’t believe that was so easy… And I was out of the country the whole time!
